Learn how to create expressive, colourful artwork with soft pastels in this enjoyable four-week course.
 
Pastels are wonderful for beginners, offering immediate results without complicated tools or techniques.
During the course you’ll learn how to make different marks, blend and layer colour, build simple compositions and create small finished pieces inspired by still life, flowers and landscapes.

This course suits absolute beginners as well as those wishing to refresh their artistic skills. Each week includes clear demonstrations, practical exercises and supportive guidance to help you grow in confidence.
 
All materials are provided, including a selection of pastels and papers, and you’re also welcome to bring your own supplies if you already have favourites you enjoy using.
 
You'll also have access to the Student Chatroom, a dedicated place where you can post images of your work, share your progress, and receive feedback from both fellow students and myself.
