The image for this print has been taken from a sketch I made at the British Wildlife Center where they have a set of rescued badges. To view the 'set' you have to stand in the dark for a long time until your eyes adjust enough to see the badgers curled up and sleeping together. Not the easiest place to sketch!
This print was made by creating a hardground etching on a metal plate, which is then dipped into Copper Sulphate solution for various lengths of time to create an open bite aquatint. The plate is then inked up and printed Intaglio style. It is a very absorbing and time consuming process with lots of stages for the ‘magic’ to happen.
There are two editions of this print;
A Blue/Black version which has been selected by The Society of Wildlife Artists for exhibition at Mall Galleries London
Printed on a lovely white Snowden paper.
You will receive one of a limited edition of 45

A Black version. Printed on a warm white Somerset Satain paper.
You will recive one of 2 Artist Proofs.
The print size is 15 x 10 cm
This print will be supplied (unmounted) ready for your own mount and frame.

I try to limit my use of none recyclable materials so your purchase will be wrapped in paper for protection.

Every care is taken to photograph artwork, but minor colour variation may occur between the original and screen.
All prints will vary slightly due to their hand printed nature.
This print is made using lightfast inks and archival materials. I do suggest that to maintain this artwork to the highest quality, it should be displayed away from direct sunlight, fluorescent lighting and high humidity areas.
