From earlier mid summer drawing online classes

I love these impressionist works. Using your watercolour brush pens has worked really well.
You need something for scale as it's hard to tell how tiny these works are.
I think they are A6 size (A4 folded into quarters).

Carol this is so lovely. You can read that it's a reflection so it works well. I was a little lost with the fishing net first off, but then it made sense. It would be interesting to see the source image.
Are you enjoying watercolour sessions with Bridget? I hope the group is going well.

Another lovely watercolour. He looks like he might lose those wellies if he's not careful. Great depiction of the footprints in the snow.

Lovely watercolour specimen. It looks like you used coloured pencils as well. Is it pencil on top of the wash or watercolour pencil?
Fabulous. She has a very grumpy face, but so did the picture!
Lovely use of these subtle colours to build up the tones.

Maxing out your chance to win a book!
Thanks for sharing. It's great to see all the work.

I really love the first image. It's great to see the difference between the heavier colour and wash. (Which I know I pushed you to try) And then the light mark-making, which I think is fantastic. It's so ethereal and dream-like.

This one has worked really well! You have used some really subtle tones to create the nose, which has worked well. Perhaps try adding these tones around the eyes to show how they sit one/in the face.
Really good work with a tricky technique that can easily run away from you.
This is my first attempt to do a portrait in watercolour - with only a faint outline sketch.

Great work! Her mouth looks a bit askew. Your colour mixes work really well.
Did you enjoy working directly with the watercolours?
Oh cool, these are from the free sessions over the summer. It's great to see the work that you created.
