Looking East

This looks fantastic.
Where is the view? It looks like the Seven Sisters.
The figure in the fairground looks fine. It really looks seated in the scene.
I love this long panoramic format, with the blue shirt, then the red parasol then the green and blue again drawing the eye into the distance.
Inspo from my version of pop art/abstract, then photo editing it.

Different repeating patterns

Repeating patterns
The top one reminds me of the African Kente cloth designs. I love the other design when it is infinitely repeated. They both create fantastic repeat designs.
Meeting

A very dramatic painting using contrasting colours. Is this inspired or based on something specific?
From earlier mid summer drawing online classes

Oh cool, these are from the free sessions over the summer. It's great to see the work that you created.
Portraits from recent demonstrations
I thought I'd share some of the portraits from recent courses.
First I'm going to post images using gouache and acrylics these paintings are quite tiny and I really enjoyed painting them at this size. The smaller I went the looser I needed to be as they were quite tricky to work with.
I also made some cute frames for a few. I cut and painted cardboard and taped the images to the back.
On the Canal

Fantastic work. The water works really well.
I'm not sure the hand is quite right, the thumb looks a bit large.
The light and shade across the jacket and jeans is wonderful and really captures the feeling of the sun beating down.
Lovely work. You are right to be proud of your work!
Portrait using acrylic and glaze wash

Lovely. I like her expression. It makes you wonder what she is thinking about.
Cat on the hunt

Chris I love the ship sailing up the river mouth.
My only suggestion would be for the people to have a little shadow under them to ground them.
Have you painted one like this before? I think it was from the opposite direction on the prom, where the coast guard watchtower was.
