Afghan Girl is a 1984 photograph portrait of Sharbat Gula, an Afghan refugee in Pakistan during the Soviet- Afghan war. The photographer was Steve Mc Curry and this photo appeared on the cover of National Geographic. It is still very relevant today and a symbol of dispaced refugees across the world.
