A really tiny print created with the traditional technique of Wood Engraving.
This print was carved in Lemonwood on the 'end grain' and printed using traditional oil based ink on a fine Japanese paper.
 
The print depicts a collection of wooden groynes against the giant rocks of a sea wall. The groynes have been worn away over many years unilt all that is left are these tiny stumps. I sketched this scene on a walk I took along the beach in Emsworth, West Sussex early one morning.
