My aim in this painting was to depict the passage of Time, something I have been thinking about during this pandemic. I have made references to spring (tulip), the poppy (summer), modernism ( Piet Mondran) , an hourglass ( Vanitas) . The blue colour is associated with harmony, green with renewal.

Very bold design. The hour glass image is a little lost in the design. But very effective and a great use of colour. How did you find using acrylic in comparison to your last painting in oils?
