Thanks for your positive comments. I know I didn’t leave enough space between the leaves etc in order to get the darks in. I probably put in too many different types of plant so it is too busy. It seems to be important to use very different leaf shapes and flower colours for contrast. But I quite like the technique and will probably have another go at it.
George is right this has really worked well. Some areas better than others, but as discussed in class next time you will be more aware of how this looks and make appropriate spacing.But one thing it has done is really draw your eye along the path to the house at the back.

This is really lovely Helen. It maybe a bit busy in places but really gives the feel of the cottage hidden away in a lovely garden.
