Here is the very first print of my new (and quite old as it's taken a long time to carve) lino block. The print is 45x66 cm. A bit bigger than A2.
Here are the original designs. You can see on the bottom right, the original first sketch idea. Then right is the slightly enlarged and in the centre the penultimate design, before being transfer to the lino block. If you compare to the finished print you can see changes and elements added while cutting the block.
Stunning picture ! I’ve been looking at and analysing this image for the last 5 minutes Tricia. I love the way you have designed the image and the attention to detail, the shading and textures. Is this from your imagination Tricia ? Did you combine several images? This has.motivated me to improve my lino printing.
