I really like the words here and I like the black and red imagery too. I’d be interested to see how you in vision the remainder of the text. I can’t remember who said this but “we are all light and we are eternal” - it may have been Paul of Tarsus
I might now, just looking and reflecting again,..add another word or term to the second last point..perchance linked to brown dot or blob or mark etc...- " subtle energy sending and INVOCATION..." ( or maybe a better word or additional words or terms)- as in.finding an energy within oneself..ourselves...such as during times where things may seem bleak etc.. or where a thing may not seem to be in being...- an oft cited notion that one can seek or find the sources or aspects of any answer within oneself..within being at some level or area of conscioiusness...if one can begin to conceive or feel it..it may be a potentiality in being...- linked also maybe to eastern ideas of etheric potentials in being...or..search for the energy within..if one cannot find it elsewhere...for..something maybe needed or sought..or..if you can dream it..imagine it..feel it..it may be a beginning of a hope..somewhere..in any universe..
the colours with the bullit points - for me -werenot to be about any rainbow notion ( an educated sense of a rainbow whould have perhaps other colours which comprise rainbows?)... but were for me a sense of : like a beginner's art class where the first daubs of colour are made - a first steps play art - hence colours a beginner may use from a first steps playbox of crayons - maybe a sense of dada where that was taken from a similar notion (dada - first fresh new sounds a baby might make or new steps into a new cosmic dada...though hopefully an evolved move as suggested by some partially erudite writings perhaps of the sentences..but a simple newness to be offered also via the move into art -enabling possibilities...and culture exploration perhaps..- these words having originated from a political election approach which was itself an exploration - but reflecting that it may be more relevant as a cultural expression than the often specific and tied to key areas aspects of general socio-political manifestos...but had been exploring on the course where i was a kind of beginner in art again, also the art manifesto and looking to step into such an area to explore..)...- but the crossing over and enjoining of written words with initial, beginning colour or any art play : i have been hesitating to compare to like a child's classroom of initial dots and pointings with any colour because it is about taking those first steps in a direction..hence any hopeful first steps as suggested by the first dots or gestural marks.. of colours from a beginning colour pastel box...
With regards to the child like nature of colours and marks: You may want to think about how artists have revisited and referenced the perceived nievety of other cultures artwork. Think Picaso and tribal art.Adolf wolfi and Celtic art. Bill Traylor and naive art. Aloise Corbaz and Indian erotic/religious art.
I quite like the notes, it might be interesting to see this as a series of works, as you make changes and adapt the work.I'm not sure how keen I am on the rainbow colour for the bullet points. But I like the red and black.Did you look at the Picasso pieces illustrating the poems?
I looked up the Picasso poem piece a little after doing this - and was actually quite struck by what I saw - one poem had a simple curve mark boldly done across the top..then another about a tree symbolism and sunset and sky perhaps had bold but primitivist feeling lines by Picasso - I was indeed not expecting this but the boldness -the primitive yet deep directly made lines and shapes - done by such a great worker in art as Picasso - it was quite something to behold and I aim to return to look at more and also to relate to the French words which i could understand some of initially...but it was quite thought provoking also in so far as one could think for a long while and then make a mark, a brush stroke, or set of marks...
…a first and evolving step for me from just words which involved having to think of various relative images and then deciding to approach in a particular kind of way as a first simple step...from which one can later explore many various related additions and developments...sophisticated, indirect, direct , simple etc etc...useful experience also from having to consider what to do..to edit and do it...ponder alternatives and concerns...and also to experience uploading something in this context...
