Agreed, I think going over and graduate as you mention. I also think they look a bit flat rather then dimensional as they are in real life. I drew it on photocopier A4 paper which was all I had at the time.
The fence is too light compared to the trees that are silhouetted.There are a couple of options:First is crop the image into a wide panorama by cutting the fence off the bottom. Second is to work over the top with your ink.I like the bushes in the background and the use of mark making. But you could make them gradeate to darker at the bottom and that would allow you to disguise the bottom of the trees as well. 🤫
This has a much more realistic feel to the light over the whole image. The sun setting on the horizon draws you eye through the image and gives a lovely sense of depth to the scene.
I think I probably agree about the fence, but I think this is very atmospheric and the sky is lovely - fits in v well with the trees.

Thank you for your feedback Tricia. when I had completed it I wasn’t too happy with the fence line. Practice makes perfect.
