Many thanks Kaye, Thea and Sonia for your kind comments. Yes, it was drawn on brown paper and I think the white mixed with the other colours has given it a sort of luminous effect. The colours on their own did seem a bit dull. Helen
This looks amazing Helen. The colours really pop out against the crinkly paper. . I found my inktense looked a bit dull on the brown paper. I will try the burnishing tip as it looks beautiful. Kx
Thanks so much Tricia, Amanda and George for your lovely comments. The original is a bit more purple and white than the photo suggests. I used Inktense purple and then burnished with Graphitint white on top. Used the pencils dry, no water

So effective Helen that the iris is almost luminous with sunlight.

Beautiful painting Helen. Love the texture . Very nicely done.
As Tricia says....wow, this really is brilliant, well done Helen. Amanda
WOW! This is great. It looks amazing against the crinkly paper.
What is the white or light lilac pencil you've used?
Did you add any water or just use the pencils dry?
