Although I submitted my end of project piece I knew I wanted to improve the leaves in the blue pop so after the class I printed onto acrylic sheet using acrylic inks - I think it works better.
This is very impressive, Liz. Not being able to join online course can you explain what you mean by printed on acrylic sheet? Is it lino printing ?I love the colours and the tones on the leaves.Thea
Hi Thea, I did a small Lino cut on soft Lino for the leaves and originally stamped them on the board but was not pleased with the result, so I used the same stamp onto a see through acrylic sheet and collages on top, using slightly lighter tones in shimmering and plain acrylic inks to create more depth. I have done this before with my parrot and some other bits you will have seen, but this and the spider plant in the yellow pot are just small touches
This is great Liz, and I really like the leaves on the plant in the blue pot.
Thanks for the information ,Liz . I hope you will frame this and put it on display, I would!
