Really good for first attempt.It's often very small adjustments that achieve a likeness.For instance the shadow of the nostril in the photo is horizontal.It might be worth sketching it in different grades of pencil to practise as you will then concentrate on the shadows and not worry about getting the skin tone colours right!You're definitely getting there!Thea.

You've definitely captured a likeness and I love the different textures of the fabric.If you look at the two images you've posted, then squint your eyes a little, you can see where your painting could have some more shadows added.You have some lovely skin tones though and it works really well around the nose and cheeks.I can't wait to see other peoples version of this!
