Like the converging lines which give great linear perspective. Love the different greens and pink . The gravestones and re-birth of nature depict vanitas. Really like this painting!
Two for joy! There is a lovely sense of depth in this painting, created by things in the distance having less detail. Is there anything you would do different next time?Several students are experimenting with acrylics, how did you find them to use for this work?
I relied quite a lot on my photo for the background. Next time I would not worry whether I was following a photo so closely. I like acrylics but I think I prefer smoother paper to canvas. The picture I'm working on just now is much less detailed & my problem will be whether to leave it like that or make it more realistic with detail!
Thank you - the real-life scene (minus the magpies!) was beautful - shame I can't re-create the scent of the blossom.........

Yes a difficult task is to decide what to discard and what to add to a composition when you are working from a photo you've taken or from real-life.
Yes, what to add and what to discard are always problems to think about when working from photos or real-life.
A lovely feeling of spring, I like all the different greens you have used! Great!
