Really lovely watercolour pictures
Lovely illustrations, reminds me of The diary of the Edwardian Lady.
Thanks Sue, I love that book.
Are you pleased? Do you think you would do anything different or start differently next time?
I think some students found it a hard project to get started on as they didn't have a defined topic. But I know other students just let each page flow from the last idea...A little bit more sketch look style.
Did you manage to keep your handwriting neat all the way through, not just on the first few pages!?
Usual thing, I probably should have planned it better! I think this was one of the good pages for the writing. I now know why my mother-in-law went to calligraphy classes for years!
Yes I am pleased with it. A more consistent approach might have been helpful to the overall product, but I quite enjoyed varying my style a bit - i did one page with just Quink. Obviously some more successful than others.
Thanks for your comments!
It sounds like you've learnt a lot. Great job.
It started off watercolour pencil and ink, but ended up mainly watercolour with the odd touch of ink. Much happier with some pages than others. These small scale illustrations, to my mind depend very much on good drawing which I don't always achieve. However, on the whole I'm quite pleased with it and glad I stuck with it and completed 18 pages!
18 pages fantastic. Yes drawing was key to this project. Your right there.
Yours are lovely through, quite illustrative.
Lovely sketches and memories of the Provence.
