Very impressive George! I think fur is difficult with Linoprint , with the animals that size you can't do much detail, so you've done well. If you've used 3layers - white, grey and black? Is your starting paper grey or did you use several different colours? Helen
Thank you Helen. I first inked an uncarved lino grey, then cut away the grey areas followed by a white and black layer on white paper. I still have two A4 yellow coloured cards which have a violet layer but still considering which colours to use for the final layer(s).
Thanks George, interesting! You've done well to have printed on different colours, I usually get carried away with finding out how the print will look and then of course you can't return to use alternative colours with a reduction print! Helen
Thank you Tricia. Three layers but I don't think adding another layer will improve the image. I did not take enough care trying to depict the fur of the wolves and did carve away too much in the first layer. I'm gradually getting to know what works and what doesn't by trying out different things.

George, how many layers is this? Do you have more layers to add?
I think you may have carved away a little too much on your first layer? It's hard to see. But I think your wolves faces have lost some detail.
But they do look like wolves which is cool!
I'd like to see it in real life to get a feeling of it and how you've built up your layers.
I know you were doing various papers so I look forward to seeing some of your other experiments.
