About the course:
Spend a fun day learning how to 'mono-print' with a gelli plate.
Learn about the marks and textures you can create, along with how to layer colours and patterns.
You will return home with armfuls of prints to use either as card design, abstract images or for collage.
Who is the course for:
This course is suitable for all.
£35
10am-3:30pm
What will the course cover:
During day you will learn about the different equipment you can use. You will create mark making samples, coloured layers and use stencils. You will learn what mono-print means and how to express your own artistic style through your prints.
You will also have the opportunity to move on to some advanced techniques using 'masks' and duplicating magazine pages.
For this course you will need:
All basic equipment will be supplied.
But if you would like to bring some of your own things:
-
Gelli plate
-
Acrylic paints
-
Paint brush and roller
I suggest you bring a selection of thin papers to print on to and any rubber/foam stamps you may have.
Gelli plate printing can get messy so you may want to wear some 'arty' clothes!
Don't forget to bring lunch, although there is a small Co-op near by.
Hot drinks will be available either from a 'charity' café run by the church or 'make-your-own' facilities.
